Set Up Post-Purchase Surveys

  • Last updated February 1, 2025

You can use Userpop to collect valuable feedback right after a purchase by displaying a survey on specific product pages—perfect for learning what’s working (and what’s not).

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Go to your Survey Widget and click Edit Widget.

2. In the sidebar, navigate to Step 4: Targeting Settings.

3. Toggle on Target Specific Sub-pages.

4. Under “Your campaign should show if URL…”, choose how you want to match the URL:

  • contains – good for targeting multiple similar pages (e.g., “confirmation” or “product”)
  • matches – shows the survey only on one exact URL
  • starts with / ends with – helpful for structured page URLs

5. Enter a keyword or path that identifies your post-purchase or product-specific page.

  • Example: Entering thank-you or order-confirmed will show the survey after checkout.

💡 Hint: To target a group of related pages (like all products in a certain category), you can use a partial path like products/shoes with the contains or starts with option.

Once your targeting is set, click Next Step to continue customizing your survey questions.
