How to Effectively Moderate and Respond to Comments

Moderating comments on Userpop is key to creating a positive and engaging shopping experience for your customers. Follow this step-by-step guide to manage comments efficiently:

1. Accessing Comments

  • Log in to the Userpop dashboard.
  • Use the Product Search (🔎) bar to locate the product listing you want to moderate.
  • Select the desired Product Listing.
  • Go to the Live Messages, Pending Approval, or Rejected Messages tabs to review all comments.

2. Approving or Rejecting Comments

  • Go to the Pending Approval tab to see comments awaiting moderation.
  • Take action on comments:
    • Approve: Click the green checkmark (✅) to publish the comment.
    • Reject: Click the red (❌) to reject the comment.

3. Responding to Published Comments

  • Approved comments are displayed publicly on product pages. You can only reply to comments after they are published.
  • To respond:
    • Click on the chat icon (💬) on any comment under the Live Messages tab to display the text input field.
    • Reply directly to the comment by typing your message in the text input field.
    • Next, publish the comment reply by clicking the send button (→) in the text input field.
  • Official comments from store owners made within the Userpop dashboard will always display with a verified green checkmark in the widget.
